The South-West Legal Services Experience
Melissa Selver-Deleveaux is an Attorney-at-Law practicing for the past Nineteen (19)
years, having been called to the Bahamas Bar in April, 2002. She is the founder of
South-West Legal Services, which is located at No. 46 Carmichael Road, Nassau, New
Providence, The Bahamas. The Firm currently employs three (3) Attorneys, a Paralegal
and Legal Assistant. Mrs. Selver-Deleveaux’s areas of expertise are Family Law, Civil
Litigation, Property & Real Estate Development, Private & Wealth Management,
Company Formation & Company Management. She has worked extensively in matters
involving our local lending institutions in New Providence and throughout the Family
Mrs. Selver-Deleveaux has given legal lectures at various seminars primarily on Family
Law and Private & Wealth Management. She is a member of the Bahamas Bar
Association, Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, an 2021 graduate of the Academy for
Women Entrepreneurs Bahamas (AWE) and currently enrolled with the Association of
Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (ACAMS).
Mrs. Selver-Deleveaux obtained her Associate of Arts Degree from The University of
The Bahamas (formerly The College of The Bahamas) in June 1995, LLB at the
University of Buckingham, United Kingdom in December 1999 and completed the Bar
Vocational Course at BBP University Law School, United Kingdom November 2001.
Her experience working with small, medium and large Firms has inspired her to
establish her own Firm where she can offer a more hands-on approach with assisting
her clients in resolving their legal matters.
